LOS ANGELES — BBW star Kelly Shibari’s freshman video offering, “Kelly Shibari is Overloaded,” has been nominated for a Feminist Porn Award.
The 8th Annual Feminist Porn Awards will be held on April 6 at the Capitol Event Theatre in Toronto, Canada. The Awards are flanked by a screening of erotic films on April 5, held at The Bloor Hot Docs Cinema, and the Feminist Porn Conference on April 6, held at the University of Toronto.
“I’m so happy that the feminist porn community, and GoodForHer, as recognized 'Kelly Shibari is Overloaded' for the feminist elements it embraces,” said Shibari.
She added, “Being able to say, 'Yes, at times I do choose, and like, to engage in this sort of sex,' as well as producing, directing, and marketing it myself, is liberating and empowering. To then be able to engage in scenes with people I enjoy having sex with, rather than sticking to societal norms of size and what is considered 'sexy,' has turned this into my love letter to my fans, quite literally, and I’m extremely humbled that it has gotten this sort of recognition.”
The DVD combines an all-fan blowbang/bukkake based on the Japanese victory in the 2011 Women's World Cup, with additional group scenes for Shibari. The DVD also contains a number of firsts on camera for Shibari, including anal and double-vag creampies, in addition to it being her first fan event.
